Con Funk Shun - Love's Train

Price

$6.97

"Love’s Train" by Con Funk Shun is a 1982 R&B and quiet storm ballad from their album To the Max. Written by front men Michael Cooper and Felton C. Pilate II, the song famously describes a real-life love triangle in which the two bandmates unknowingly dated the same woman.

Musically, it blends the synth-centric flair of early '80s R&B with sparkling keys and a prominent, steering bass guitar. Despite never being released as an official single, it has become the group's most iconic slow jam and a beloved soul standard.
